Grammy Award-winning artist Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, popularly known as Burna Boy, has once again made headlines following a new post he shared on his official Instagram page.
The ‘Higher’ crooner, who is one of the top international Afrobeat stars, passed a coded message to people wanting to take over his spot in the entertainment industry.
Burna Boy states that everyone wants to be in the spotlight, but they overlook the struggles and sacrifices he endured to reach his level of success.
He wrote, “Everybody wants your spot until they see the work it takes to be in that spot.”
His post ignited widespread outrage online, with social media users speculating that he might be addressing rumors involving American rapper P. Diddy, as suggested by singer Speed Darlington.
Recall that Speed Darling was announced missing by one of his friends, citing that they had not heard from him in a matter of days. It was later discovered that the controversial rapper had been arrested over defamation on Burna Boy.
Following his release, Akpi released a diss song, “Baby Oil,” which is now topping the charts on Spotify.
