JUST IN: Canada reduces permanent residency application slots for Nigerians and others

The Canadian Government has announced measures to reduce permanent residency application slots for Nigerians and other foreigners coming to the country.

This was announced by the country’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Marc Miller, in a statement on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

According to him, announced that rather than the 500,000 yearly slots for permanent residents, the country would be lowering the numbers for the next three years, adding that the new measure would come into effect from 2025.
